Kids and avocado?
Yes! Avocados are great for kids and because of the smooth and creamy texture, it’s a good option for baby food. Besides being fun to eat, it is high in unsaturated fats. These fats are known to be important in the growth and development of the brain and the central nervous system. Avocados contain more potassium than bananas and lots of nutrients important for eyesight and a healthy immune system. So yes, get those avocados into your children! However, avocados have a bit of a bland flavour that might not be loved by all kids. Especially if it’s a new food for your child. That’s why we love recipes that camouflage the healthy stuff by masking it with bold and fruity flavour.
My child hates spinach!
Anything green is good for you, right? There is a reason why Popeye ate spinach before going into super hero mode. Because it’s ridiculously good for you and your kids! Spinach offers a trifecta of ingredients for enhancing eye health: beta-carotene, lutein, and vitamin E. The only trouble is convincing children to eat it. Let’s hide some in this smoothie and see if if they even know what they’re drinking is super healthy for kids.
